This is an exciting opportunity to join our Workshops team within a growing company and a supportive, friendly team environment. Experience in a similar role and environment is preferred but not necessary as we are willing to train and develop the right individual for the position.Role responsibilitiesReporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires you to have a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include:Utilising your mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment, in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience under the supervision of a qualified tradespersonPerforming a range of tasks on a daily basis to assist the Workshop teamPicking-up and delivering parts and other objects as required by the Workshop SupervisorOther miscellaneous duties as directed by the Workshops SupervisorPerforming any other work as directedEligibility criteriaTo be considered for this role, you will need to possess:Sound level of verbal and written communicationSolid mechanical aptitudeExperience in working in a team environmentA high level of accuracy and attention to detailA passion to learn and grow within the Automotive industryA strong focus towards safety standards and relevant company policies & proceduresBe proactive with a drive to finding better ways to continuously improve and be adaptable in a dynamic and growing teamAs a Busways employee you will:Be provided with ongoing training and developmentHave overtime hours available and be paid at applicable penalty ratesHave the opportunity to work on a range of vehicles such as Euro 5 & 6 technologiesWork in a close-knit and team orientated environment that celebrates together with quarterly BBQ’sHave the opportunity for future career developmentOur workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.If you think this role is suited to you or you would like to learn more, we would love to hear from you!
