Your main duties/responsibilities will include but are not limited to;Undertaking the preparation and cleaning of all surfaces prior to any paint application taking place. This may include filing, grinding and sanding the body of a vehicle to restore a smooth vehicle surfaceRemoving, repairing and replacing the allocated panels that are damagedEnsuring the maintenance of all spray-painting equipment and tools provided by the CompanyProvide all body structural, accident damage and associated repairs, service and maintenance to vehicles as required. Work on associated components to complete whole tasks within the skill level of the position.Provide maintenance, preparation, replacement and repairs to all vehicle body components, panels, frames, and door systems.Manufacture, service and fit vehicle, components constructed from such materials as aluminium, timber, steel, stainless steel, glass, fiberglass, sealing and bonding materials.Demonstrating and maintaining clean workshop practices in your day-to-day role and ensuring that these practices meet the high standards held by the Workshops teamEnsuring that all maintenance and repairs are performed according to company policies and procedures, and are recorded on the designated forms and documents providedMaintaining and performing all workshop practices in a manner that adheres to all Workplace Health and Safety regulations Eligibility Criteria:Relevant trade qualifications essentialSound level and demonstrated skills in a spray-painting roleMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar roleEnsure adherence to safety standards and company policiesSound level of verbal and written communicationExperience in working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedulesBe proactive with a drive to finding better ways to continuously improve and be adaptable in a dynamic and growing teamAutomotive or industrial equipment painting experienceThe ability to differentiate between colours as well as balancing and layering coloursPanel beating experience highly regardedMust be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have working rights in AustraliaCurrent Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant StatePlease note:Busways is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to achieving a diverse workforce.
