Now is an exciting time in public transport with introduction of new sustainable technologies, on demand bus services and trials of driverless vehicles. The OpportunityWe currently have a full-time role for a Service Variation Assistant in our Scheduling Department at our support office based in Pymble. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and innovative company. The opportunity will best suit an individual with previous experience in a professional environment and an aptitude for business communications. We are looking for someone with the ability to use logic to solve complex issues both in terms of the finer details and its place in the broader picture.Most importantly, the successful candidate will be someone who possess a strong work ethic and thrives on the accuracy and deadline driven nature of working closely with our stakeholders and relative authorities. The JobReporting to the Service Variation Manager, we are looking for an individual to efficiently manage their workload whilst assisting the team in compiling relative data.Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;Consult with key stakeholders to determine scheduling decisions that will positively contribute to the transport network and communities we serve.Investigate scheduling issues derived from internal and external stakeholders to determine high quality outcomes and provide informed responses to customer enquiries.Analyse service performance data from metropolitan, outer metropolitan, and rural and regional bus services to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness and customer outcomes.Support the design of integrated bus networks that optimise existing resources and identifies new opportunities. Essential Skills/ExperienceExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Highly motivated self-starter with excellent attention to detail.Possesses strong levels of logical reasoning.MS Office skills, with Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills.Experience in analysing data and producing meaningful reports.Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.Australian/NZ PR/Citizen.A positive attitude, willingness to learn and professional approach.Your application should have a CV and a covering letter addressing each essential skills demonstrating your suitability for the role What is working for Busways like?
