Most importantly, the successful candidate will be someone who possess a strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements of payroll and thrives on the accuracy and deadline driven nature of the payroll environment.The JobReporting to the Payroll Manager, we are looking for an individual to efficiently manage their workload whilst assisting the team in running all aspects of weekly and fortnightly payroll for 1800+ staff. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;Performing all aspects of payroll duties such as processing weekly/fortnightly payroll and processing and reconciling employee time sheets and rosters.Review of pay, employee and leave records to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the payroll systemDeveloping and improving payroll services provided to employeesUnderstanding and complying with internal controls, regulations and security requirements linked to the business process and support on audit requestsInterpreting and adhering to industry award rules and ratesOngoing development of payroll reports to support multiple stakeholders Essential Skills/ExperienceAccounting qualification such as a degree from a local or international institution.A strong, demonstrable capacity to interpret and practically apply legislative instruments such as enterprise agreements, industrial awards, and relevant Acts.MS Office skills, with Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills.Minimum of 5+ years end to end, high volume payroll experience.Experience in analysing data and producing meaningful reports.Effective interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.Highly motivated self-starter with excellent attention to detail.Australian/NZ PR/Citizen.A positive attitude, willingness to learn and professional approach.Your application should have a CV and a covering letter addressing each essential skills demonstrating your suitability for the role What’s in it for you?We foster a fun, flexible and friendly working environment that encourages its employees to learn and develop.
