Busways’ customer commitment is to provide a service that makes customers feel safe, welcome, comfortable and impressed every time they travel with us.The OpportunityWorking within a small inhouse visual communications team of three, you will have opportunities to collaborate and contribute to a broad range of creative projects to help the business meet its goals.The primary purpose of the role is to assist in the delivery of visual communications throughout the company. This includes developing materials for campaigns, projects, and our programs. Understanding how to apply brand guidelines is key to successfully contributing to the management of the Busways brand and several sub-brands, and the integrated transport network brands for which we operate bus contracts for government. This will involve creating for a range of audiences, including school kids, bus drivers, and government clients.The role also involves a lot of design problem solving, requiring you to take on new challenges and learn new skills. You will be required to work with stakeholders, suppliers such as printers, and internal departments, most commonly the marketing and communications team.You will play an important role in paving the path for visual mediums throughout the company by producing high quality designs and managing your workload under fluctuating priorities and deadlines.Role responsibilities Develop effective designs for all internal departments, including advertisements, flyers, posters, promotional materials, brand, documents, email, online, social, video/animation, and photographyDrive the art concepts of digital and print for campaigns and programsWork with our Visual Communications Manager to build out top level creative conceptsConfidently manage work within changing deadlinesAssist with print recommendations and quotesDevelop and manage relationships with printers and external creativesAbility to follow and implement different client brand stylesRequired qualifications and skills Relevant tertiary qualifications in graphic design3+ years’ experience in graphic design for both print and digital designProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Affects)Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and PowerPointGreat organisation and time management skills to achieve goals within timeframesAbility to adapt to constantly changing deadlinesEnergetic, self-motivated and action orientedGreat attention to detailIt would be beneficial, but not essential, if the successful candidate has:Basic illustration abilityPhotography & videography experienceMicrosoft Office template experienceApply nowIf you believe this is the perfect role for you, please apply by submitting a resume and a cover letter that specifically addresses your skills and experience in relation to the role, duties and required skill-set.
