Now is an exciting time in public transport with introduction of new sustainable technologies, on demand bus services and trials of driverless vehicles. The OpportunityWe currently have a full-time role for an Assistant Transport Scheduler in our Scheduling Team at our support office based in Pymble.This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, innovative and rapidly growing company. The opportunity will best suit an individual who has an interest in the scheduling of bus services as well as the ability to efficiently learn to utilise our scheduling software.Importantly, the successful candidate will be someone who possess a strong work ethic and thrives on the accuracy and deadline driven nature of working in a high performing team. The JobReporting to the Scheduling Manager, we are looking for an individual to efficiently manage their workload whilst assisting the team in compiling relative data.Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;Learn and utilise transit scheduling software HASTUS to a high level of detail.Execute structural changes to transit data.Manipulate and derive transit scheduling information relative to adjacent departments for purposes of planning, route and trip analysis.Analyse and assess the performance of actual and scheduled data to evaluate and influence change and promote high quality service delivery. Essential Skills/ExperiencePossesses strong levels of logical reasoning.MS Office skills, with Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills.Experience in analysing data and producing meaningful reports.Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.A positive attitude, willingness to learn and professional approach.Your application should have a CV and a covering letter addressing each essential skills demonstrating your suitability for the roleAustralian/NZ PR/Citizen. What’s in it for you?This is a great opportunity to build a career whilst joining an industry leading Scheduling Team.
