Assistant Development Manager

The Opportunity & TeamWe currently have a full-time vacancy for an Assistant Development Manager at our National support office located in Pymble, NSW. The Property Team is a close-knit one and currently has seven employees. The key responsibilities of the department are:Planning, design and construction of new depots and other facilitiesAdministration of utilities, tenants and leasesMaintenance of all properties owned and leased by BuswaysRole responsibilitiesReporting directly to the Property Development Manager and Property Department Manager, you will be working in a close-knit team. This is a diverse role fulfilling multiple areas of the Property Department within Busways. The responsibilities of this position depend on both you and your strengths. It could include but is not limited to:Working with the internal team on all aspects of development planning, design and deliveryAssisting in the coordination, planning and design documentation for developmentsAssisting in the monitoring of the performance of development partnersAssisting in preparation of consultancy/contract briefs, tender and managing project deliveryMaintaining compliant project record keeping of documentation and supporting the property development manager and wider property team.Assisting in approvals for projects, including but not limited to DA's, Construction Certificates and Occupation Certificates.Liaising with consultants, contractors, and various Local and State Government bodies as directed by the development managerRequired qualifications and skillsGeneral property administration experienceAbility to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and build ongoing relationships.High level of proficiency in Microsoft applications i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and VisioKnowledge of the property market and practical aspects of building and constructionFamiliarity with the development application process, Local and state planning policies and  EPA&A and SEPPs.Touch typing skillsHold a valid Australian driver's license It would be beneficial if the successful candidate hasAn understanding of varying property markets including sales and leasingCompetency in reading and understanding engineering and architectural drawings.Ability & willingness to learn new software packagesPractical knowledge of the Development Application process at local government level.
