We currently have a full-time vacancy for a dynamic and motivated Accountant at our support office located at Pymble. Working under the Finance team, this position will be based within our Accounts department. The key responsibilities of the Accounts department include:General month end activities as required including ledger reconciliations and journal entriesProcessing of remittances and banking into ERP system, and banking reconciliation experienceDay-to-day transactional accountingRole ResponsibilitiesThis exciting role will report to the Accounting Team Supervisor and the responsibilities of the position will include but is not limited to the following:Work closing with various stakeholders to actively raise invoices and chase up outstanding debtorsSupport the team with accounts payable processingSolid understanding of key accounting concepts and controls in placeOwn the timely delivery of correct answers for all accounting team enquiriesProvide ad hoc assistance and support as needed within the teamRequired qualifications & skills:Degree in accounting and tracking to become CA/CPA qualified.Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role or in a reputable professional services firm.Proven experience reviewing financial statements whilst demonstrating a complete understanding of notes and declarations required to comply with Accounting and Tax requirements.Solid understanding of key accounting concepts and controls in placeProven ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in order to build strong working relationships Excellent & proven attention to detail skills.An analytical mindset with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 with Intermediate excel skillsWhat is it like working at Busways?We foster a fun, flexible and friendly working environment that encourages its employees to learn and develop. Some of our employee benefits include:Flexible Working Hours - we encourage flexibility in both the workplace & in working from home thus, our employees have the ability to start early and finish early or vice versa.
