Your main duties will include:Coordinating human resource matters in the areas of rosters and leave planning that complement the depot’s maintenance plans and day to day depot operationsPlan, coordinate and supervise supply and warranty activities, monitor inventory holdings so that staff have access to materials and equipment required to perform all fleet maintenance activitiesManage and supervise day to day depot maintenance activities undertaken by depot maintenance employees and contractors including providing supervision to all workshop staffPlan and allocate repair resources for all scheduled maintenance service activities, including the allocation of staff to assist with heavy vehicle inspections, to complete work when required and to maximise the availability of buses to meet the operational needs of the depotEnsure timely and accurate service work is performed by the workshop staff including providing sufficient staff to perform workshop tasksEnsure the workshop operates within the guidelines of WH&S standards and the workshop is kept to a clean standardSupervise and manage training requirements for apprentices and staff ensuring that all staff have adequate capabilities and training to perform their necessary tasksEnsure all accident damage is reported and repaired as requiredAssist in Penrith depots transition to an all-electric bus fleetOur workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.About Us: Busways is the largest Australian-owned bus operator and the most experienced Australian bus specialist, delivering high-performing transport services since 1942.
