We’re looking for a proactive and confident Employee Relations Advisor to support our managers and teams in fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. You’ll play a key role in maintaining workplace harmony and supporting leaders through complex employee matters.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage employee relations matters as they arise, liaising with legal advisors and external stakeholders on complex issues to achieve fair and practical outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with managers and provide ongoing support across people matters.
- Conduct investigations into grievances, misconduct and performance concerns.
- Manage and coordinate personal injury and CTP claims end-to-end.
- Provide advice and recommendations to managers on performance management and grievance processes.
- Support managers in understanding and complying with legislative requirements, policies, and best practice across employee relations, flexible work and leave arrangements.
- Manage workplace claims and represent the business in proceedings before the Fair Work Commission, ensuring that you demonstrate a best practice approach whilst ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Employee Relations or a similar role.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, grievance handling, WHS, and employment legislation (including Fair Work).
- Experience supporting or working within unionised environments (transport industry experience is a bonus).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, trusted relationships across all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work autonomously and handle confidential matters.
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have valid, unrestricted working rights in Australia.
