Depot Manager
Ready for your next opportunity? Bring your leadership, operational and people management skills to Busways’ Grafton depot! We’re looking for a hands-on and proactive leader to oversee day-to-day depot operations and drive performance. You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, reliable public transport services to the local community every day.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the depot including dispatch, rostering, payroll processes and operational coordination
- Oversee people management activities including staff supervision, leave management, performance management and disciplinary actions
- Manage compliance, reporting and incident investigations including customer complaints, accident reports and operational issues
- Maintain depot presentation including cleanliness, yard conditions and infrastructure, ensuring a safe and professional environment
- Drive service delivery outcomes aligned with Busways’ frameworks, ensuring consistent and high-quality operations
- Monitor and achieve contractual and internal KPIs, ensuring staff understand their impact on performance outcomes
- Promote a strong safety culture by maintaining risk registers, ensuring WHS compliance and supporting safety initiatives
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role, ideally within a fast-paced operational environment
- Strong administrative and operational experience, including rostering, payroll or coordination tasks
- Demonstrated knowledge of service delivery, incident management, employee relations and workplace health & safety
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff, stakeholders and the local community
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organisational and time management skills
- Local area knowledge and the ability to build strong working relationships across teams
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have working rights in Australia
