You have the chance to make a key difference in the community by ensuring safe and reliable transport services every day!What You’ll Be Doing: This opportunity involves managing a team of approximately 45 employees based out of our Coffs Harbour depot, where you will oversee the daily operations and ensure the success and adherence of our scheduled bus services meeting their contractual requirements. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will play a key role to support our Service Delivery team in achieving our vision of being Australia's leading public transport company. The role responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:  Taking a hands-on approach to handling all daily operations of a bus depot such as employee dispatch, payroll, rostering etc.  Maintaining effective recruitment & selection to ensure a full complement of drivers and administration staff.  Leading the implementation of company-wide systems and processes.  Ensuring compliance with internal and contractual performance standards and meeting KPI’s.  Auditing and ensuring that all Service Delivery related reports are being properly investigated and actioned.  Coaching team members and developing their performance, offering feedback, and demonstrating the desired skills and expected work ethic within your team.  Providing after hours support to key personnel and emergency services.  Managing relationships and communication with external stakeholders such as schools, local authorities, and key community groups.  Ensuring adherence to Workplace Health and Safety legislation  Quality Assurance standards are maintained.   What You’ll Bring: Demonstrated experience in management with a focus on employee engagement and motivation Strong communication and interpersonal skills  Strong ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines An understanding of WHS regulations and practices A positive attitude and willingness to learn Local knowledge of Coffs Harbour highly regarded  Intermediate, practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite  Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident  Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State  What We Offer You: At Busways, we don’t just transport people – we care about every part of the journey.
