All roles will be on a full-time basis and will require a basic level of mechanical knowledge with a strong willingness to learn.  Roles available across our Ryde & Willoughby depots are:Ryde Depot - 3 x vacancies availableWilloughby Depot - 1 x vacancy availableExperience in a similar role and environment is preferred but not necessary as we are willing to train and develop the right individuals for the position.With the right set of skills and qualifications, we are offering attractive rates and allowances that include;$33.43 per hour (Inclusive of Allowances)When taking Annual Leave, you will be paid your hourly rate plus the Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%.Full time, permanent role with career progression within BuswaysAll work uniforms and any/all necessary PPE will be providedA secure recession proof career that is always in demandRole responsibilitiesReporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires you to have a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include:Performing minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment, in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience under the supervision of a qualified tradespersonMoving buses within the yard, parking and refueling themPick-up and delivery of parts and other objects as required by the Workshop Supervisor or Leading HandGeneral yard/workshop cleaning and maintenanceStore duties as and when required by the supervisorPerforming other general, non-trades services as directedAdhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work dutiesMaintaining clean workshop practices The successful applicant will have:A current unrestricted NSW drivers licence (MR class or higher preferred)The ability to perform tasks which require heavy liftingEnsure adherence to safety standards and company policiesA willingness to work a variety of shiftsSound level of verbal and written communicationExperience in working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedulesConfidence in using computers and software packagesBe proactive with a drive to finding better ways to continuously improve and be adaptable in a dynamic and growing teamWe are looking for real, not perfect individuals that are passionate and invested in achieving outcomesOur workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.This role will provide ongoing training and support to employees based on their level of experience to enable you to meet our standards.
