This is an exciting opportunity to join our Workshops team within a growing company and a supportive, friendly team environment. Experience in a similar role and environment is preferred but not necessary as we are willing to train and develop the right individual for the position.Role responsibilitiesReporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires you to have a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a self-motivated individual to join our growing Assets team as a Trade Assistant at our Lonsdale Workshop. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Workshops team within a growing company and a supportive, friendly team environment. Experience in a similar role and environment is preferred but not necessary as we are willing to train and develop the right individual for the position.

Role responsibilities

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires you to have a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include:

  • Utilising your mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment, in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson
  • Performing a range of tasks on a daily basis to assist the Workshop team
  • Picking-up and delivering parts and other objects as required by the Workshop Supervisor
  • Other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Workshops Supervisor
  • Performing any other work as directed

Eligibility criteria

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Sound level of verbal and written communication
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
  • Experience in working in a team environment
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A passion to learn and grow within the Automotive industry
  • A strong focus towards safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures
  • Be proactive with a drive to finding better ways to continuously improve and be adaptable in a dynamic and growing team
