The OpportunityWe currently have a full-time role for a Senior Transport Scheduler in our Scheduling Team at our support office based in Pymble. This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking, innovative and rapidly growing company.You will be working in a large, dynamic scheduling team, bringing your industry experience and meticulous approach to our growing team. This includes working alongside several established scheduling specialists, as well as playing an integral part in the communication and development of our team.The role will best suit an individual with a great deal of knowledge and experience within bus scheduling services. This specific opportunity is particularly exciting as it will be predominantly focused on our new contract award of region 7 (SMBSC 7, current STA Contract).Importantly, the successful candidate will be someone who possesses a strong work ethic and thrives on working towards high quality outcomes. In addition, the chosen applicant must be able to meet deadlines and work closely in a high performing team. The JobReporting to the Deputy Head of Scheduling, we are looking for an individual with a background in Transport Scheduling to join an industry leading team committed to high quality outcomes.Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;Assist in Coordinating bus and crew scheduling to meet the requirements of contracted service plans. This includes services changes, movement or sharing of bus services, routes or trips between Depots and special events as required to ensure fleet and staff are deployed cost effectively.Creation of cost-effective bus and crew schedules (including day-specific schedules that cater for changed schedule requirements such as school charters, special events, school vacation schedules, and public holiday schedules) to meet service delivery needs.Support the Scheduling Team with major schedules reviews and changes including allocated supporting tasks or activities to achieve operational and customer service improvements.Projects - Participate in projects and project teams, to contribute to the achievement of project objectives in accordance with time, cost and quality objectives.Work as a team member, keeping others informed, sharing knowledge and experience, assisting others to achieve business objectives, and contributing to team meetings.
