Payroll Senior Officer

We are always trying to attract people with high quality traits to join our team.We currently have a full-time role for a Payroll Senior Officer in our Payroll Department at our Pymble Support Office.The OpportunityOur company is in an exciting period of growth and with that in mind, our Payroll team are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join their team. Your extensive end to end payroll experience will ensure that our team continues to excel in providing efficient and accurate payroll services to our staff, who are distributed across multiple locations within NSW and SA.Reporting to the Payroll Manager this role is based at our National Support Office in Pymble. This role will need to assist the team in running all aspects of weekly and fortnightly payroll for 1800+ staff (which will soon increase to 3000).Role ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Payroll Manager, we are looking for an individual to efficiently manage their workload including all aspects of weekly and fortnightly payroll for their allocated employees. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Day-to-day support of the payroll team from an operational perspective Involvement in project work that will assist in enhancing payroll processes Supporting management with initiatives to improve internal systems and process efficiencies Processing end to end weekly/fortnightly payrolls utilising knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYG, superannuation, salary package arrangement and payroll tax with a high level of accuracyEnsuring the provision of excellent customer service in answering all payroll queries through the shared payroll inbox and via phone, in a timely mannerProcessing and reconciling employee time sheets and rostersRevision of pay, employee and leave records to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the payroll systemUnderstanding and complying with internal controls, regulations and security requirements linked to the business process and support on audit requestsClear understanding of NES, and ability to interpret multiple Awards & EAsOngoing development of payroll reports to support multiple stakeholdersAbout YouIdeally you will have:An accounting qualification such as a degree from a local or international institutionA strong, demonstrable capacity to interpret and practically apply legislative instruments such as Awards, EA's and relevant ActsMinimum of 5+ years end to end, high volume payroll experienceExperience in analysing data and producing meaningful reportsEffective interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritise workload to meet deadlinesA positive attitude, willingness to learn and professional approachAustralian/NZ PR/CitizenshipAbout Us Busways is Australia’s largest privately owned bus operator, providing services across NSW, including Western Sydney, North Shore and West, Central Coast and the Mid-North Coast, and in South Australia.
