Over the past 79 years we have developed a passionate and engaging brand in the transport sector and are one of the most well-known bus passenger transport operators in our operating regions.With a team of more than 2,600 people, committed to transporting over 60 million passengers each year, we pride ourselves on taking a proactive approach to public transport delivery to ensure the customer's journey is as seamless as possible.About the roleWe currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to lead our Kempsey, Wauchope and Laurieton depots with the support of our existing staff.You will be responsible for the efficient management and operation of bus services from our depots, ensuring compliance with both internal and contractual performance standards.Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager – NSW North Coast, you will play a key role in supporting our Service Delivery objectives to achieve our vision of being Australia's leading public transport company - the first choice for our clients, customers and employees.If you have a proven track record in managing teams (preference in transport and logistics) with a focus on service delivery, possess strong people management skills and you are looking for your next challenge, then this role could be for you! Role responsibilities:This role will have overall responsibility for the daily service delivery requirements, with a key focus on our depots and its people. This includes, but not limited to:Day to day management of employee dispatch, payroll, and rostering.Leading the implementation of company-wide systems and processes.Ensuring compliance with internal and contractual performance standards and meeting KPI’s.Auditing and ensuring that all Service Delivery related reports are being properly investigated and actioned.Coaching team members and developing their performance, offering feedback and demonstrating the desired skills and expected work ethic within your team.Managing relationships and communication with external stakeholders such as schools, local authorities and key community groups.Ensuring adherence to Workplace Health and Safety legislationEnsuring Quality Assurance standards are maintained. To be successful in this role, you must have:Demonstrated experience in leadership with a focus on employee engagement and motivation.Strong writing and document management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlinesExperience in the transport service industry or a similar related field (desirable)Intermediate, practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 suiteNSW drivers licencePermanent Residency or Australian CitizenshipYour applicationIf you believe this is the perfect role for you, please apply by submitting a resume and a cover letter that specifically addresses your skills and experience in relation to the role, duties and required skillset.
