Marketing and Communications Officer

We have a fantastic new Marketing and Communications Officer role for a creative communicator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience including social and digital. You will be responsible for implementing communications, media and marketing strategies to support the organisation’s strategies. This is a generalist communications and marketing position in an agile team, involving a high level of hands-on work and close collaboration with stakeholders across the business. The TeamYou will be joining a busy team that works hard but has fun while doing it. This role will be an integral part of the national Busways marketing team, responsible for communications and marketing campaigns, community programs, digital, social media, events, partnerships, employee engagement and website.Key responsibilities include:Building our brand and reputation as a leading public transport provider Sourcing, writing, scheduling and delivery of engaging social media contentContent writing for marketing materials, presentations, and mediaLaunch and drive engaging market-facing marketing and communication campaignsManage sponsorships and community support with brand positioningInvolvement in company events from time to time, which may include travel to sites.Compiling monthly analytics for reportingExecuting brand in marketing collateral and ensuring guidelines are adhered tooCriteriaTo be considered, you must have 5 years’ experience in a similar role and demonstrate the following skills and experience:You’re a whizz at producing communications for a range of channels, with understanding of audience and channelsYou have the capacity to develop innovative and engaging concepts for marketing campaigns within brand guidelines and drive brand consistency across all communicationsYou collaborate with SMEs and marketing and design teams to plan, create, review and execute copy across all touch points, including campaign materials, eDMs, websites, digital, video and socialYou are accurate and have high attention to detailYou’ve the ability to own a project, work it through to completion and work on multiple projects concurrentlyYou love working independently and collaboratively to find solutionsYou’re organised, work to timelines and understand the importance of swift, correct delivery of content. You have tenacity, resilience, capacity to keep going under pressure, work ethic and initiative and take pride in your contributionYou are a quick learner, who learns from mistakes and seeks to do better every dayYou can hit the ground running and adapt to changes in directionYou have great communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersYou are positive and patient with high Emotional Intelligence (EQ) to work constructively with different individuals and groupsQualifications and requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or similarNSW Driver's LicencePermanent Resident or Australian Citizen Transport or government industry experience is preferred but is not essential. Great working environmentJoin a fun, friendly marketing team in a supportive work environment where you receive continuous support and help.
