About the OpportunityWe currently have a full-time vacancy for a motivated IT Support Officer - Level 1/2 located at our National Support Office in Pymble. The level in which you come in at will depend on your skills and experience within the IT field and, this role will push you to continuously learn and develop as an IT Support Officer which in turn will allow you to provide high quality desk support to our end users located at Pymble or across our depots spread across NSW and Adelaide.About UsBusways is an award-winning multi-state passenger public transport provider. Now is an exciting time in public transport with introduction of new sustainable technologies, on demand bus services and trials of driverless vehicles.The RoleThis role will report directly to the IT Manager, and you will be working alongside a team of four (4) other desk support/IT support officers. The main responsibilities associated with this role will include but is not limited to the following:Providing technical support to our end users. This may include hands on site visits or remote supportTracking faults and requests via our ticketing systemsBeing customer-focused with a passion for resolving IT related issues in a practical mannerSupporting devices and systems including; desktops, laptops, tablets, mobiles, printers, servers, switches, routers, WiFi, email, databases, applications and VoIPDemonstrating not only great interpersonal skills but also a can-do attitudeBeing able to work productively as part of a team and also independently without direct supervisionWorking with a variety of vendors and 3rd parties on purchasing and escalating faultsAssisting with the accurate maintenance of IT documentation and asset registersProactively contributing to the improvement of IT processes and systemsMaintaining a comprehensive working knowledge of different Busways systems that are relevant to the roleProviding feedback on possible technology enhancements, outdated procedures or risksAssisting with project implementations and rolloutsThe successful applicant will possessMust be a tech hungry individual with a passion for using technologyA sound level of hands on IT support experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have a valid NSW drivers licenceAble to handle multiple tasks at any given time with a proven ability to effectively prioritise your workloadDemonstrated problem-solving skills, the capacity to successfully deliver high quality outcomes and meet deadlines.Flexible and adaptable in their approach to the working hours required per week where overtime may be requiredProactive and possesses strong attention to detail skillsConfident in working autonomously or within a team environmentCapable of displaying a mature and professional approach with internal staff and external partiesAble to embody Busways Core Values and behaviours dailyA mix of technical certifications (e.g. CCNA, MCP, Server+), IT Tertiary qualifications or the equivalent level of practical skills and experience is preferred but not essentialWhat we can offer you?We’re a family run company with a community feel.
