Over the past 79 years we have developed a passionate and engaging brand in the transport sector and are one of the most well-known bus passenger transport operators in our operating regions.With a team of more than 2,600 people, committed to transporting over 60 million passengers each year, we pride ourselves on taking a proactive approach to public transport delivery to ensure the customer’s journey is as seamless as possible.About the roleWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a Group Service Delivery Development Manager to lead the ‘Development & Support’ arm of our Service Delivery Department based at our National Support Office in Pymble.This is a new role reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and is key to supporting our Service Delivery objectives to achieve our vision of being Australia’s leading public transport company - the first choice for our clients, customers and employees.If you have a proven track record in managing public transport operations with a focus on service delivery, and you are looking for your next challenge, then this role could be for you!Role responsibilities:Service Delivery DevelopmentWorking alongside the ‘Daily Operations’ team, you will lead the ‘Development & Support’ arm of our Service Delivery Department. You will have overall responsibility for ‘the way Service Delivery operates’ in Busways (with a key focus on our depots) and will continually review and implement improvements including system/process development, job redesign, and new technologies to achieve:Greater efficienciesHigher quality operations and servicesHigher staff engagement and job satisfactionOrderly, systemised and consistent operation across all depotsTender and TransitionWhen tendering, you will lead the development of our response to areas related to Service DeliveryWhen transitioning in or out of a contract, you will oversee the transition activities for the Service Delivery Department.Business documents You will develop and oversee the implementation of all Service Delivery business documentation to meet our internal, contract and accreditation requirements including Strategic Management Plans (SMPs), policies & procedures, training content, work instructions and manuals.In addition to the above responsibilities, you will lead a team who are focused on:Overseeing the transition to zero emission buses across all Contract regions, including the management of the BEBs transition teamOverseeing the design, implementation, and operation of On Demand solutions across all Contract regionsOverseeing the training and development of all Service Delivery staffResearching new onboard technologies such as bus Telematics, Driver Navigation, Safety systems etcMonitoring and reporting on service delivery performance through the development of dashboard/s and data analysis.Working with our internal software team to improve our bespoke software solutions. To be successful in this role, you must have:8+ years’ experience in the public transport bus service industryDemonstrated experience in leading and managing teamsStrong writing and document management skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong ability to plan, prioritise and successfully deliver projects on timeStrong ability to analyse and present dataAdvanced, practical knowledge of Microsoft 365 suiteNSW drivers licencePermanent Residency or Australian CitizenshipYour applicationIf you believe this is the perfect role for you, please apply by submitting a resume and a cover letter that specifically addresses your skills and experience in relation to the role, duties and required skillset.Busways is committed to achieving a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from people representing all diversity groups and ages such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTIQ+, people with disabilities, religious beliefs and ethnicity AUD Pymble 2073
