Over the past 79 years we have developed a passionate and engaging brand in the transport sector and are one of the most well-known bus passenger transport operators in our operating regions.With a team of more than 1,800 people, committed to transporting over 26 million passengers each year, we pride ourselves on taking a proactive approach to public transport delivery to ensure the customer’s journey is as seamless as possible. About the role:We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager to lead and support our asset maintenance and bus service delivery operation in Adelaide.Reporting to the General Manager - South Australia, the Asset Manager will have overall responsibility for the maintenance and management of all assets across two depots within Busways Outer South Contract area.If you have a proven track record in managing transport operations with an Asset Management focus, and you are looking for your next challenge, then this role could be for you! Role Responsibilities: Asset Maintenance and ManagementWith ongoing support provided by our National Assets team located in NSW, you will ensure that all assets are managed and maintained in accordance with all contractual, compliance and legislative requirements and will continually review maintenance methods and procedures with the aim to achieve and deliver effective asset management for Busways by:Promoting a workshop culture that aligns with Busways core values and philosophy.Promoting a safe workplace for all stakeholders - ensuring WHS standards & practices are adhered to at all times.Ensuring all assets (Property, Equipment, Vehicles) are managed and maintained in alignment to Busways Asset Management Plans.Ensuring internal asset review and reporting systems are in place.Ensuring alignment and compliance with local council and government authority requirements.Supporting the workshop staff in complex fault diagnosis.Identifying and mitigating workplace risks.Workshop team management Working closely with the workshop supervisor, you will lead and support the workshop team by overseeing the:day to day operation of the workshop.organisation and planning of staff shifts and rosters.monitoring and reporting on workshop performance through data analysis.planning and organising of asset maintenance tasks.workshop staff performance and training requirements.Stakeholder engagement You will be required to engage, liaise, and maintain a positive working relationship with government departments, asset maintenance contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders within the business.Reporting You will be required to produce reports specific to asset activity and performance to present to the National Asset team as required  To be successful in this role, you must have:Previous experience in the public transport bus service industryPrevious experience as a Heavy Vehicle MechanicPrevious workshop management or leadership experienceThe ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time with a proven ability to effectively prioritise your workloadStrong writing and document management skillsAn effective communicator that possesses strong problem-solving skills in order to implement alternative plans when incidents or disruptions occurStrong attention to detailCapable of displaying a mature and professional approach with relevant stakeholdersStrong ability to plan, prioritise and successfully deliver projects on timeStrong ability to analyse and present dataPractical knowledge of Microsoft 365 suiteA current Australian drivers licence How to applyIf you believe this is the perfect role for you, please apply by submitting a resume and a cover letter that specifically addresses your skills and experience in relation to the role, duties and required skillset. If you need any further clarification on the role or the package, please do not hesitate to get in contact with our Chief Operating Officer, Chris Wolf on 0438 537 948 or via email at cwolf@busways.com.au.Busways is committed to achieving a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from people representing all diversity groups and ages such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTI, people with disabilities, religious beliefs and ethnicity. 90000 AUD Lonsdale 5160
